Preschool and Summer Camp Family

My daughter has attended Little Farmer’s for over eight years now, and even as she’s grown into a pre-teen, she still chooses to go back every single year for summer camp because she loves it that much. It has truly become a second home for her, and I know her time at Little Farmer's is something she will look back on fondly as an adult.

What makes Little Farmer’s so special is how unique the environment is. The programming and curriculum are thoughtful, engaging, and enriching for every age level. The kids get to spend time with animals every day and learn real responsibility by helping to care for them.

The entire staff is amazing, but Ms. Natalie in particular has completely won my daughter’s heart as an incredible teacher and role model. All of the teachers here are so kind, dedicated, and attentive to every child's unique needs. They truly care about each individual student.

The owner, Jessica, has a true passion for early childhood education and has built an exceptional program. She is extremely kind, responsive, fair, and clearly communicates with families, and the program pricing is very fair as well considering the scope of the program and the high quality education they provide.

Jessica consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate families and give back to the community. Years ago during COVID, while I was sick with cancer, Jessica personally arranged a food drive to ensure my family was taken care of during a challenging time. This is just one example of how kind her heart is and how important her families are to her.

They say it takes a village, and I am honored and proud that Little Farmer’s was and continues to be part of ours. My daughter has grown into a kind, compassionate, empathetic person who respects both people and animals, and she learned so many of those valuable life lessons during her time at Little Farmer's.

I cannot recommend them highly enough and feel so lucky to be part of the Little Farmer's community.

Summer Camp Family

We were one of the first families at Little Farmers, and all four of our kids have now spent their summers there. We come back year after year because they genuinely don’t want to go anywhere else.

Miss Jessica worked so hard to make her dream of Little Farmers a reality, and it shows in the experience she has created. Our kids get to play, make friends, try new activities, and spend time learning about and caring for the farm animals. As parents, we appreciate how much thought goes into making those experiences both fun and safe.

Miss Natalie brings that same care to leading the program. She puts the children first, supports her staff, and sets clear boundaries when they’re needed for the good of the camp. She has been such a positive role model that our oldest daughter wanted to come back as a counselor in training under both leaders. Seeing her want to help give younger children the experience she loved says more than any review could.

Little Farmers has given not 1, not 2, but all 3 of our children an incredible education and experience. Jessica and her team are dedicated educators, offering each child EXACTLY what they need to succeed. They also offer dedicated time and attention to some kids that require that little bit extra, making sure no child is left behind and they all find success.

Combined with the animal education, this program offers a uniquely unforgettable experience. They genuinely care about your kid’s wellbeing, development, health, and education. Couldn’t recommend more!

When my oldest started Kindergarten, they asked what program he was coming from because he was SO well prepared! Little Farmers has been an integral part of our family’s lives for 5 years! Both of our boys attended the program and LOVED every minute of it. From Miss Jessica’s warm and welcoming smile every morning, to every teacher interaction, and barn lesson, they felt so supported, encouraged and loved! The school was incredibly patient with us on many occasions; our youngest is not always the easiest to handle, but they did so with grace and immeasurable patience, even welcoming him with open arms for his third year in the new kindergarten prep program! He is now in kindergarten and THRIVING! So well behaved and jumping into the academics with ease! We absolutely owe it all to the amazing staff and lessons from Little Farmers, and our boys will continue to attend summer camp until they age out! I have and will continue to recommend this school to everyone I know with a preschool aged child! 🥰

Our son has been going to Little Farmers for almost 2 years and we absolutely love them! I am really particular about childcare and they blew all my expectations out of the water. Every single one of the teachers is so patient, kind, and caring. They communicate daily about their day and send frequent photos. I can't say enough amazing things about this school. After having my son in a day care in a different state and having a terrible experience I was so nervous about the start of preschool. But when we moved back to CT, and I read up on Little Farmers, I knew this place was going to be perfect for my son. My son has been thriving and has come so far the past 2 years here. He has learned so much and loves going to school every day and I am so happy to have two kids there now where they continue to learn and enjoy every moment of school. Little Farmers has truly exceeded our expectations in both the quality of education and the level of care they provide. We were specifically looking for a preschool with smaller class sizes to allow for more individual attention, along with creative learning, meaningful playtime, and a clean, safe environment. Little Farmer’s is a fantastic, nurturing, clean and unique preschool that we love. the staff is fantastic, kind, caring and has exceptional communication all around. I can confidently say anytime we have a difficult drop off, I get a picture of my daughter well within an hour of her happy, calm and playing. We have had such a wonderful experience here. Staff is very kind, respectful and accommodating, especially when life gives you lemons! My oldest enjoys everyday, especially the barn weeks. We’ve had such a great experience with Little Farmers over the years, both for preschool and summer camp. The teachers are amazing, and the smaller setting and classroom setup really makes a difference. There’s low turnover, and the consistent, positive attitudes of all staff and teachers sets the program apart.

I love how much time the kids spend outside and how the barn curriculum is woven into all programs. It makes learning feel fun and different. They’re also constantly rotating books, toys, and activities, so there always seems to be something new!

Most importantly, our kids have genuinely loved being there. Even our shyest child was always happy to be dropped off, which says a lot. We’ve always felt really good about the care, environment, and people at Little Farmers and cannot recommend this program enough.

Summer Camp Family

We’ve been little farmers families for years and we cannot say enough good things about this school, the teachers, and our experiences. Being a summer camp family you may worry that it will be totally changed each time you come back but every year Jessica and her team are always welcoming and friendly, quick to make both of my girls feel excited about being there. They NEVER forget them, which as a mom and ECE professional is huge. The planning that Jessica and team put into summer camp is unmatched and always makes for a memorable summer for our girls. My favorite is the fun Fridays where not only the kids get involved but so do the teachers!! Anyone I’ve ever talked to about the year round program has loved it, too!!

Now let’s talk the animals. Visiting the farm and tending to the animals is truly a highlight and such a unique opportunity for the children to learn empathy, responsibility, and caring for others. All of the animals are truly wonderful and a highlight to of every camp day, but if you haven’t met Huey, what are you waiting for?!? He is the heart of the farm and every child adores him.

We have had such a wonderful experience with Little Farmers Childcare! Both of our daughters have attended Little Farmers for multiple years, and we truly couldn’t be happier with the care they’ve received.

Jessica and the entire team have been absolutely wonderful with our girls. They genuinely care about the kids and consistently go above and beyond, not only during childcare hours but even after hours when we’ve needed them. That level of care and commitment has always meant a lot to our family.

My two kids have been part of the Little Farmers family for the past 13 years. Before opening their preschool they ran a mobile petting zoo which is how we first met. Once they opened their center, my kids joined them as summer school-age campers, and when they aged out of day camp, our girls stayed with Little Farmers, volunteering as “counselors in training”. Now, our oldest is happily employed as one of their summer camp counselors.

As a parent I can't say enough about Jessica, Natalie and the staff who run the programs so diligently to their own high standards. They value an environment of cleanliness, health, safety and model positive behavioral expectations. As a healthcare provider myself, it is worth noting the focus they place on infection prevention, expectations to reducing the spread of germs/diseases and creating a safe and healthy environment for everyone. They don’t falter on their own expectations.

I recall as Jessica navigated the challenges to reopen her center in the midst of the pandemic and how many measures she took to successfully prevent transmission of COVID (and now it applies to COVID any other communicable diseases). I have been impressed with her knowledge of healthcare standards. The center has been well prepared for DPH visits.

I feel a strong sense of comfort knowing that Little Farmers maintains a safe center, helping protect our children from unnecessary exposure to preventable infectious diseases. As my girls have aged, I can see the positive impact gained from their many years at Little Farmers. They are confident and knowledgeable on best practices to keep themselves and the kids they’re with all day safe, healthy and happy.

Our experience with Little Farmers Child Care Center has been nothing short of incredible every step of the way. We cannot recommend Little Farmers Child Care Center enough, and would absolutely 100% choose this path again! It isn’t easy to find a reputable business for childcare, Little Farmers is top notch.

My son attended Little Farmers when he was in Pre-K 3, back when Little Farmers was just opening. That’s when we met Miss Jessica and her amazing team, and from the very beginning, we knew we had found something special.

It was truly one of the best experiences our family has ever had. The teachers are kind, compassionate, patient, and genuinely invested in the children. They aren’t just teaching them letters, numbers, and school readiness — they’re teaching them how to be little humans. How to be kind, how to care for others, how to be responsible, and how to have confidence in themselves.

And for us, the animals were an absolute bonus! 🐐🐓❤️ There was something so special about watching our son learn how to care for animals and experience things that you just don’t get in a traditional childcare setting. Those experiences have stuck with him.

Miss Jessica also runs an incredibly organized, clean, and communicative center. You can tell how much thought, care, and pride goes into everything they do. As a parent, knowing your child is somewhere safe, loved, cared for, and genuinely learning makes all the difference.

We eventually moved and no longer live as close, but that didn’t stop us from making the 30+ minute drive because we knew Little Farmers was where we wanted our next son to go. That alone says everything.

We couldn’t be happier to have found Little Farmers and Miss Jessica’s team. It is truly one of the best childcare experiences we’ve ever had, and we are so grateful our family gets to be part of it. ❤️🐄🌱

Our daughter thrived at Little Farmers. She loved interacting and taking care of the animals. We started out as a drop-in our first year and then did their extremely comprehensive pre-k program our last year there. Our daughter was sad to graduate and leave for Kindergarten! She was more than ready for kindergarten after completing Little Farmer’s pre-k program. She learned so much and all the teachers were caring and attentive. Highly recommend!

If I could give 10 stars, I would give all ten! This was the BEST preschool. Here is why.... the teachers are incredible with the kids. My neighbors kids aged out of preschool but when they went there they had the same teachers as my daughter which means the quality of the school stays consistent. The cleanliness was 10/10. They are on top of the kids washing their hands upon arrival. They also wash after playing outside/ petting animals. They are on top of sickness so kids aren't coming in constantly spreading germs. They have a mini school bus so the kids are familiar riding on one and it adds so much excitement for them. They had the kids make the best mothers day gift that I will keep forever and many other crafts that i will cherish. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience with a preschool. This exceeded all my expectations plus some. Thank you LF for breaking my little out of her shyness. She left your school confident and knowledgeable. She truly bloomed at little farmers.

I also referred one of my neighbors and their daughter had a fantastic year at LF. They put my daughter with the neighbors daughter so they weren't nervous and were able to adjust to going to school. They did not have to do that! I appreciate Jessica and her team so much and you will, too!

We had a great experience at Little Farmers! Our child attended preschool, Pre-K, and the summer program. The teachers are wonderful, and the animal-focused environment helped grow her love of animals and nature. We especially appreciated the daily photo updates, fun events like Trunk-or-Treat, and the special themed Fridays during the summer program. Pre-K was a great balance of fun and structure and prepared her well for kindergarten. The graduation ceremony was also a beautiful way to celebrate the kids. We're very grateful to the entire Little Farmers team and highly recommend them!

I can’t say enough good things regarding Little Farmers!!! I sent both my boys here ranging across four school years…the care, compassion, and organization go unmatched to any other preschool we’ve looked into. The owner Jessica is incredible! Miss Natalie is amazing! It is a unique school in which focus is both on learning and responsibility in taking care of the animals! Also learning core knowledge in a school based schedule offset from the farm weeks. It is interesting to the kids as it keeps them focused on the changing curriculum. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The facility itself is bright and inviting with lots of activities to keep the little ones busy. The highlight for my son, of course, was the added addition of the barn/animals. What started out as something different for summer camp turned into regular daycare until he aged out. He was taught about animal care for a variety of animals (chickens, bunnies, pigs, donkey!!, and others. While the kids were able to pet and hold all the animals they also assisted with cleaning out the stalls and feeding when appropriate. It truly is a one of kind place and the kids are lucky to have such an amazing experience!

Little Farmer’s Childcare is truly a special preschool in Tolland, CT. Our children absolutely thrived in the nurturing, loving environment and came home excited to share what they had learned each day. My son attended little farmers this summer and I cannot say enough great things about them! I think he actually enjoyed it more than his own school! They are engaging with the children and keep them busy while learning and doing new activities. The facility is clean and they keep their animals healthy. My twins went to Little Farmers for 3 years including summer camp. I can’t say enough good things about the program. They loved the animal aspect of it. It added another level of fun to their day to day. Every teacher was so caring and genuinely wanted the best for every child. My children were more than prepared for kindergarten. Our son had a wonderful time at summer camp. He can't wait to go back next year. He completed fun crafts and loved spending time with the animals in the barn. The owner Jessica is very kind, responsive and organized. She keeps the parents well informed daily. They use an app for daily report. Drop offs are completed using a secure app. The facility is spotless and they highly encourage the children to wash their hands often which is extremely important to me especially in a childcare setting. The staff are friendly, warm and helpful. They have fun themed weeks to keep things exciting. I highly recommend this wonderful childcare center. See their facebook page for pictures.

This place is amazing. Our daughter has been attending their preschool program over the summer and there aren’t enough great things we can say about Little Farmers. Miss Jessica and the entire team are incredibly friendly, caring and great with the kids. The children spend time with the animals every day, play outside, do beautiful crafts, read stories, play with the huge variety of toys etc. The facilities are brand new and spotlessly clean. There is a big emphasis on hygiene (e.g. kids use different clothes and shoes for the area with the animals, hands are washed all the time etc.). Also, it is very obvious how much care and preparation goes into their daily planning. They always do a themed craft and these have honestly been little pieces of art. Our daughter loves it there and asks when she can go back to see Penelope (the pig) – we couldn’t be happier!

Little farmers has been an amazing experience for my son these past 2 years. He was there for prek 3 and 4 and most recently summer camp. He has learned so much not only academically but most importantly grown socially ready for kindergarten. All the teachers there are attentive and professional. Ms. Jessica is absolutely phenomenal at what she does. She is kind, sweet and really tries to get to know your child. Little Farmers Child Care Center is amazing! The staff are friendly, and so knowledgeable. They are willing to do anything for the kids and truly do care about each and everyone of them. My son took awhile to adjust at first, but now he goes in and doesn't look back. Each day I pick him up from school, he tells me all about his day and the animals. He loves school and the friends he has made. Jessica is so organized and plans so many activities for the kids. It's truly amazing to know that I can go to work for the day and not have to worry about anything. We recommend Little Farmers to everyone!

Little Farmers is the best preschool! Our daughter loves going to school, she loves her teachers! All the teachers have done a wonderful job teaching her. We were worried that our daughter would have difficulty being away from us but it turns out she loves school so much she gets upset when the weekend comes around. There is not one negative that we could say. I highly recommend this preschool

Little Farmers is not your average preschool, they go above and beyond just teaching my child the standard preschool curriculum. She is taught responsibility and agricultural development by having chores and helping in the barn with all the different varieties of animals! Miss Jessica the owner takes the time to get to know your child and family, and has made my daughter absolutely love going to school! My son is two and can't wait to turn three so he can go! Such an awesome place! Miss Jessica pours her heart and soul into this place and it shows!! She goes above and beyond for the sake of the kids and is so organized! My 4 yr old daughter attended the preschool program for the 16-17 school year. Then her and her older brother (6yrs) attended the summer camp 2 days a week. They always came home super happy and worn out from a busy and fun day! Sad it's come to an end! Hoping that our one year old can attend the preschool program in a couple of years!

This is by far the best preschool program. Excellent teachers and a very structured environment. Teachers always provide fun and engaging activities for the kids. The small group sizes provide excellent individual attention to each child. Great and unique incorporation of farm agriculture with preschool curriculum. Would highly recommend.

Some afternoon we feel like we have to drag our little daughter out of there because she loves it so much. She tells me, ‘I’m going to miss Little Farmer some day.’ on her morning commute in. Great experience for all the kids.

Our son has been attending little farmers since September. We are so happy with the expirience our son has had absolutely amazing! He loves it! Staff is great, very educational, affordable and they learn so much from the barn. Couldn't say 1 bad thing!! Thank u all for what you do for all these children!

My son is a handful and Jessica and her staff were amazing with him. First time since he ever started going to school he would tell me everything he did for the day.
